It is a good idea to change the gearbox oil periodically, when this is done look out for any signs of metal in the oil , if metal is present it’s a sign that something is wrong and you should let a gearbox specialist test drive it as soon as possible.
Your reconditioned gearbox will be supplied ‘dry’ it is your responsibility to fill the gearbox up with correct amount and grade of transmission oil. Your local Dealer will be happy to recommend the correct product for your gearbox.
This is very important when fitting as fitting a gearbox without oil will cause burn out . We cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by incorrect oil levels or damaged caused when fitting.
When driving your vehicle always listen for any noises; whining , grinding, buzzing or banging can be a sign that something may be wrong with your gearbox. We recommend you take your vehicle to a specialist gearbox centre to have it test driven.
